HVAC & R
Heating, ventilation, air-conditioning, and refrigeration systems often are
referred to as HVAC & R systems. Our service technicians install, maintain, and
repair these systems.
Heating, air-conditioning, and refrigeration systems
consist of many mechanical, electrical, and electronic components, such as
motors, compressors, pumps, fans, ducts, pipes, thermostats, and switches.
In central forced air heating systems a furnace heats air, which is
then, distributed via a system of metal or fiberglass ducts.
Our technicians can
maintain, diagnose, and correct problems throughout the entire system.
|
|
|
Installation & Maintenance
You can be sure that we will follow blueprints or other specifications to
install oil, gas, electric, solid-fuel, motors, compressors, condensing units, evaporators,
piping and multiple-fuel heating systems and air-conditioning systems.
We adjust system controls to recommended settings and test the performance of the systems we service.
To ensure that your system will operate safely and at peak efficiency we use combustion test equipment,
such as carbon dioxide testers, carbon monoxide testers,
combustion analyzers, and oxygen testers.
|
Seasonal
Our service contracts can provide for regular maintenance of the heating and cooling
systems and help to reduce the seasonal fluctuations.
Both in summer and winter, most systems often require maintenance and need
replacement parts.
During the summer, when heating systems are not being used, our heating equipment
technicians do maintenance work, such as replacing filters, ducts, and other
parts of your system that may accumulate dust and impurities during the operating
season.
During the winter, our air-conditioning mechanics inspect the systems and do
required maintenance, such as overhauling compressors.

Heating American Homes:

Amount of heating costs you save by cleaning your furnace filters
monthly. Dirty filters restrict airflow and increase the amount of energy used.

Amount of heat that escapes through your chimney when the
fireplace damper is not closed.

Percentage of your heating bill you can save in the winter by
using a ceiling fan which circulates warm air from the ceiling to the floor.

Percent efficiency that an Energy Star qualified furnace is over an older furnace.

Percentage of energy saved by using an Energy Star heat pump when compared to a standard new model.

Amount of money saved per year by installing an Energy Star thermostat.

Savings and Safety
Consider that roughly two-thirds of a home’s annual energy use goes
toward space and water heating. In most American homes, winter heating is
responsible for sending nearly four tons of greenhouse gases into the air
each month, and that as much as half of all the energy used in the home is
wasted. Efficient home heating is not only cheaper, but is also greener.
Compared to traditional wood burning fireplaces, gas fireplaces have a
number of advantages. For one thing, they are much easier to operate.
Starting a fire in a traditional wood burning fireplace is a process;
you have to go out in the cold, collect wood then lug it inside to build
the fire. Then once the fire is lit, you have to stoke it and constantly
tend to it. A gas fireplace eliminates all of this hassle and
streamlines the entire process with a simple flip of a switch.

Geothermal Heating
While many parts of the country experience seasonal temperature extremes, from
scorching heat in the summer to sub-zero cold in the winter, a few feet below
the earth's surface the ground remains at a relatively constant temperature.
As with any heat pump, geothermal and water-source heat pumps are able to heat,
cool, and, if so equipped, supply the house with hot water.
System life is estimated at 25 years for the inside components and 50+ years for the ground loop.
Probably the biggest advantages of geothermal heating are low heating costs
(cost savings can be as much as 80% over the fossil fuels)
and it also uses significantly less electricity than standard heating systems.

Taking care of the basic components of your refrigerator can lead to a
much longer lifetime and lessen the hassle for you as the owner.
It may mean and little bit of extra money in the short term,
but getting extra years out of your machine makes up for it in the long run.
|
Commercial Refrigeration
A commercial refrigerator is at the heart of any food service business and can create extreme difficulties when the unit breaks down.
We diagnose and service the industries' largest and most complex systems.
Specializing in retrofits, we use only the latest technology and environmentally safe refrigerants.
While no refrigeration unit lasts forever, there are several things you can do to extend the life of your refrigerator.
|
|
|
Preventative Maintenance
Our technicians are trained to spot potential problems before they become a troublesome reality.
Many times replacing a relatively cheap part during routine inspection can prevent paying much more to fix the damage
that may be caused further down the road. We have a preventative maintenance programs that can fit your refrigeration needs.
By keeping all of the mechanical parts of your commercial refrigerator clean, you are taking the first step to keeping your unit healthy.
|
Condenser Coil
This part should be cleaned at least once a month to keep it free of dust, dirt and lint.
We use a commercial condenser coil cleaner and brush the condenser fins from top to bottom and never side to side.
Ask our Technicians about select manufacturers that have patented cleaners that automatically clean the condenser coils daily.
|
|
|
Fan Blades and Motor
The blades and motor on commercial refrigeration should also be cleaned once a month.
Cleaning must be done carefully to prevent damage to the motor.

Digital Programmable Thermostat
Also known as electronic programmable thermostat enables you to save energy as well as money.
To minimize the amount of your utility bills, installation of a digital programmable thermostat is the best option.
It allows you to make vacation settings which are different from the usual daily settings.
This feature allows you to spend your weekends at ease outside your home because you don’t need to worry about your energy bills.
|
Capacity Selection
Manufacturers produce air conditioners in a range of sizes; the trick is to match the capacity of the system to your home.
Several factors, including how well your house is insulated, how your home is sited, what rooms are used most frequently,
and more all need to be considered before you can choose the system that is right for your needs.
